San Marcos, Texas - The Texas State football team travels to Laramie, Wyo. and plays the University of Wyoming at Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 10. Kick off is scheduled for 4:06 p.m. (Mountain). The game will be televised on the MountainWest Sports Network - The MTN and can be heard throughout the Austin area on ESPN Deportes and on KTSW in San Marcos.
The Bobcats enter the game with an 0-1 record this season and are looking to rebound from a 50-10 loss at Texas Tech last Saturday, while Wyoming is 1-0 in 2011 after edging Weber State 35-32 in Laramie.
Bobcats On The Air
Texas State's football game at Wyoming will be aired live on ESPN Deportes (92.5 FM) in the Austin area and on KTSW (89.9 FM) in San Marcos. Brant Freeman serves as the play-by-play announcer and Bill Culhane serves as the color analyst. The broadcast begins with a one-hour pre-game show and will conclude with a 15-minute post-game show.

Series History
Texas State and Wyoming will meet for the first time when the Bobcats travel to Laramie. It is the first game of the two-game series with the Cowboys and Wyoming is scheduled to play in San Marcos on Sept. 28, 2013. The contest also marks the first time that the Bobcats have played a school from the Mountain West Conference since 2009 when Texas State played at TCU. The Bobcats are 0-2 against members of the Mountain West Conference with the two games being played at New Mexico in 2003 and TCU in 2009.
Texas State vs. FBS Schools
Texas State enters the Wyoming contest looking for its first win against a NCAA Division I FBS school since defeating Louisiana Monroe 27-7 on Sept. 16, 2000. The Bobcats own a 3-17 record against FBS schools, and have lost their last 12 games against FBS schools after falling 50-10 at Texas Tech last Saturday night. The first win came against Rice on Sept. 27, 1986 when the Bobcats won 31-6. Their second win came in 1996 when Texas State edged Idaho 27-24 in the Vandals' first season as an FBS member. This marks the first time since 2003 that Texas State will play two FBS schools in the same season.
What's Next
Following the Wyoming contest, Texas State returns to San Marcos for ifs first home game of the season on Sept. 17 when the Bobcats play host to Tarleton State. The game kicks off at 6:00 p.m. at Bobcat Stadium.
