Fans wishing to travel to Austin to watch the Texas State softball team compete in the 2011 NCAA Regionals may want to consider another route besides I-35. Interstate 35/Ben White interchange in South Austin will be temporarily closed.

Anyone traveling from the San Marcos area should consider taking the toll road to Austin. Throughout the weekend tolls will be waived on all of Texas 130, and on the portions of Texas 45 Southeast and Texas 45 North that lie east of I-35.

The main lanes of the interstate will be closed in two stages, with the northbound lanes detoured to the frontage roads beginning Friday evening and the southbound lanes on Saturday evening.
