San Marcos, Texas – The Texas State men's basketball team will travel up the road to Austin to face the University of Texas this Saturday. Tip-off at the Frank Erwin Center is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. Fans who can't make it to the game, but live in the San Marcos-Austin area can watch the game on Grande; channel 29 and 829.

Texas State (6-2) captured a win at home over Houston on Tuesday night to extend its home win streak to 15 straight; for the 11th best home winning streak in the nation. Matt Staff leads the Bobcats with 12.9 ppg and 7.6 rpg. Eddie Rios is right behind him with 12.8 ppg and a team-leading 23 made free throws. So far this season, Texas State is 1-2 away from Strahan Coliseum. The Bobcats are on a three-game win streak.
