The Texas State men's basketball team will head up I-35 to face the University of Texas on Saturday, Dec. 11.  Tip-off is slated for 3 p.m. at the Frank Erwin Center. The game can be watched live on the Longhorn Sports Network.

Scouting Texas

Texas (6-2) is coming off a 56-73 loss to USC on the road. The Longhorns are led by Jordan Hamilton, who is averaging 20.5 points per game. On the boards, both Tristan Thompson and Gary Johnson are averaging 7.4 rebounds per game. The loss snapped a three-game win streak, with the Longhorns only other loss coming against Pittsburgh.

Texas State (2-4) suffered its fourth loss of the season after losing to Houston Baptist, 81-88. The Bobcats enter the week as the No. 1 rebounding team in the nation. Texas State is averaging 48.3 boards per game. Leading Texas State is senior forward Tony Bishop. Bishop is averaging 13.5 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game.
