Men's Basketball: UT Pan American Preview

San Marcos, Texas
– The Texas State men's basketball team will travel to Edinburg, Texas on Saturday, Nov. 20 to face UT Pan American in its first road game of the season. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at UTPA Fieldhouse.

In their last meeting, Texas State beat the Broncs 80-70 in Strahan Coliseum on Dec. 5. UTPA leads the all-time series, 20-9.

Scouting UTPA

UTPA (1-3) suffered a 77-71 loss to Northwestern University on Tuesday night at home dropping its second straight game. The Broncs were led by Perry Petty who netted a career-high 20 points. UTPA is averaging 60.2 points per game and shooting 70 percent from the free throw line.  

Scouting Texas State

Texas State is off to a 1-1 start after a 91-67 loss to Long Island at home on Tuesday night. Leading the Bobcats in scoring is senior forward #J.B. Conley#. Conley is averaging 14 points per game, shooting 63 percent from the floor. The Bobcats as a team are averaging 78 points per game. Defense for the Bobcats has been solid as they have forced 45 turnovers and have come away with 19 steals.
