Texas State Athletics

Tyson Taylor joined the Texas State Athletics Communications staff in the summer of 2025. He serves as the primary contact for Texas State's track and field, cross country and women's tennis programs.

Prior to joining Texas State's Athletic Department, Taylor gained extensive experience in both journalism and marketing during his undergraduate career. He began as a sports journalist with KTSW-FM 89.9, where he contributed for two semesters before being promoted to Sports Director in his senior year. He also served as a Digital Marketing Intern with Texas State’s Division of Marketing & Communications for three semesters before advancing to the role of Digital Content Assistant.

Taylor graduated summa cum laude from Texas State University in May 2025, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media Innovation with a minor in Data Analytics.
