Tanner Patterson is in his first season as the director of basketball operations for the Texas State men's basketball team.
He served as a graduate assistant coach the previous two years at Lamar. During his time in Beaumont, the Cardinals went a combined 39-27 with 26 conference victories.
Before arriving in the Golden Triangle, Patterson was on staff at fellow Sun Belt Conference member Troy. He was heavily involved with player development, event coordination, scouting, film, editing, equipment and also assisted with travel and logistics with the Trojans. He received his bachelor's degree from Troy in hospitality, sport and tourism management with a focus on sports. He also minored in leadership.
