Solomon Randle

Solomon Randle is the Associate Athletic Director of Development and will manage day-to-day operations of the Bobcat Club, as well as serve as a frontline fundraiser for athletics capital projects, the annual fund, and other special initiatives. He joined Texas State in September 2023.
 
Randle most recently served as the Director of Development for Major Gifts with the Red Raider Club and Texas Tech Athletics. During his time with the Red Raiders, Randle contributed to receiving major gift commitments towards The Campaign for Fearless Champions, an athletics capital campaign designed to enhance facilities, increase academic support, and provide the future for Texas Tech Athletics. He successfully secured over 30 major gifts, including numerous six-and seven-figure commitments towards a $12.5 million baseball clubhouse renovation and a $220 million football training facility/south end zone renovation. He also served as a member of the senior leadership team, secondary sport administrator team, and the DEIB strategic planning committee.
 
Before the move to Lubbock, Randle worked for three years at Louisiana Tech University in multiple roles, including Director of the Louisiana Tech Athletic Club. During the university’s $125 million “Forever Loyal” comprehensive campaign, he directed the athletics annual fund and secured major gifts as large as $400,000 in support of the annual fund, capital projects, and scholarship endowments. He also worked with premium seat sales and allocation, assisting in the management of the Davison Athletics Complex end zone club, and served as director of the lettermen’s club.
 
Randle got his start in collegiate athletics in 2015 as a sales consultant with The Aspire Group. His primary focus was generating ticket revenue for Louisiana Tech’s four primary sports (football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball) through outbound sales calls and appointments. He managed more than 200 individual accounts, including over 20 at the director level or above ($3,500+ annual giving) and a number of corporate accounts for companies like Merrill Lynch, Wells Fargo, etc.
 
In 2018, Randle was recognized by several national organizations for his early career success. He was one of 14 selected to participate in the fifth annual Learfield Minority Academy, an event that is designed to foster minority growth and development in the collegiate multimedia and sponsorship sector. He was also one of 35 across the country selected for the 2018 NAADD Diversity Initiative Program. 
 
The Mobile, Ala. native was four-year letterwinner (2009-2012) in football at Louisiana Tech, where he received both his bachelor’s degree in marketing in 2012 and his master’s degree in business administration in 2019. He and his wife, Ashley, have one son, SJ, and reside in New Braunfels.
