Mikale Wilbon

Mikale Wilbon joined Texas State as a Student Development Specialist in the spring of 2022 and is responsible for assisting the Bobcat football team and various events.  
 
Wilbon attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in sociology (2018) and a master's in higher education administration (2020). During his undergraduate studies, he was a four-year letterwinner for the Husker football team. During his graduate studies, Wilbon volunteered at various hospitals and charitable events. Wilbon also interned at UNL's Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services (OASIS), where he managed Brother2Brother, a group of male students of color and persons that identify as male. 

Wilbon is currently working on his second master's degree in counseling psychology from the University of Wyoming.  
 
Before joining Texas State, Wilbon was the Athletic Academic Coordinator at Wyoming. He worked with the student-athletes in the football and track and field programs. He worked with student-athletes with various learning styles and ethnic backgrounds and helped develop graduation plans and class/major selection, assisted with recruitment, and oversaw the athletics tutoring program while ensuring academic success for the student-athletes.
