Bryan Dean joined the Athletic Department in September 2018 as Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director for Business Operations. In his role, he is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the department as well as providing oversight for human resources, contract management, equipment operations, capital projects and facilities. He also serves as the sport administrator for the baseball program.
Prior to his arrival at Texas State, Dean spent four years at the University of Cincinnati where he served as the Associate Athletic Director- Senior Business Officer. In this role, he provided oversight for the day to day business operations, equipment operations and contract management. He also served as sport administer for the men’s soccer program and co-sport administer for the football program. Dean began his career in college athletics at Rice University in 2011. Prior to working in college athletics, Dean was one of the first employees for the minor league baseball team the Sugar Land Skeeters. In his role, Dean provided oversight for retail and ticket operations.
Dean has been an active member of College Athletic Business Management Association (CABMA) and has previously served on the membership and programing committee. He currently is serving as a mentor in the mentorship program.Â
Dean, a native of Missouri City, Texas, graduated from Texas A&M University. He is married to Deborah, and they have three daughters and a son.
