Texas State Athletics

Brandon Jackson joined Texas State in January 2024 as the Director of Student Athlete Development where he assists both the track and field and softball programs.

Brandon comes to Texas State after two years at Jackson State University where he served as an Academic Advisor in Athletics. In this role, he oversaw the academic support of the bowling, soccer, softball, track and field, and volleyball programs. He also directed all student-athlete development programs for the department.

Prior to Jackson State, Brandon attended Sam Houston State University where he earned a B.B.A. in Marketing, a B.B.A. in Human Resources Management, and a M.S. in Sport Management. While at SHSU, he competed for the Bearkat football program then transitioned to an administrative role as a student-athlete services assistant.
