Texas State Athletics

Sophomore (2019) – Saw the court in 40 sets…finished the year with 44 digs (1.10/set) and 13 aces (0.32/set)…had a career-high nine digs vs. UTSA (Sep. 19) and three aces at UT Arlington (Oct. 8).

Freshman (2018) – Competed in five sets in four matches where she accumulated three digs vs. Abilene Christian (Sep. 1).

Seguin High School – Was a four-year letterwinner at Seguin High School competing for Kristi Stanley . . . the two-year captain led her team to a 10-3 record in District 26-5A her senior season . . . was a two-time all-district selection and was chosen in 2016 and 2017 to both the Gazette News All-Area Team and the San Antonio News All-Area Team . . . helped lead the Matadors to the regional tournament finals her junior year . . . was also a four-year member of the academic all-district team . . . competed at the club level for the San Antonio Force . . .was also a defender for the SHS soccer team, where she was honored in 2016 as the district defensive player of the year . . . was chosen as the newcomer of the year in 2015 in both soccer and track...an academic standout who was named valedictorian of her class.
 
Personal – Majoring in business marketing . . . daughter of Chuck and Carol Koenen . . . born Nov. 20, 1999… has a sister named Lindsay Pennington.
