AC Vol Bridges

Isaac Bridges

Isaac Bridges joins the Texas State Volleyball staff for his first season as a volunteer assistant coach after a two-year stint at Tyler Junior College.

While at TJC, Bridges helped lead the team, under Head Coach Ronda Shirley, to the national tournament in consecutive seasons. Last season, the Lady Apaches finished eighth nationally, but took second in the country in 2013. While there, Bridges coached current Bobcats Morgan Lewis and Emily Shelton.

In addition to his experience at Tyler Junior College, Bridges has also coached at Grace Community School and spent six seasons coaching for club teams Madfrog, Tyler Performance Volleyball and ACE. While at Grace Community, Bridges led the team to the state tournament in both seasons, advancing to the second round.

As a player, Bridges is a regular participant in the yearly USA Volleyball Adult National Tournament on a yearly basis. Bridges is a libero for the team and will bring that expertise to the Bobcat coaching staff.

Originally from Tyler, Texas, Bridges’ parents still reside there. He has one older sister, Hannah. He is currently pursuing his degree at Texas State.
