Ashlee Hilbun

  • Title
    Student Assistant
Ashlee Hilbun enters her first season as a student assistant for the Texas State volleyball team, but she has plenty of experience with the squad. Hilbun was a four-year player for the Bobcats, playing in 128 career matches.

As a middle blocker for Texas State, Hilbun made her presence known on the defensive side of the ball with 457 total career blocks and 562 career digs, averaging 1.03 blocks and 1.26 digs per set. Hilbun, at times, served as a full-rotation player which is rare for a middle blocker.

She finished her career with 906 kills, good enough for 2.04 per set. Her junior and senior season she averaged more than 2.44 kills per set. Her senior season she topped out with a career high .313 hitting percentage.

Hilbun was a two-time All-Conference player and was named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Team in 2013 when she helped lead the Bobcats to the university’s first ever SBC Conference Tournament Championship and the Texas State Volleyball’s ninth NCAA berth. Hilbun was also a member of the 2011 Southland Conference Tournament Championship team, earning All-Tournament honors yet again.

In addition to Hilbun’s extensive playing experience at Texas State and Leander High School, she has added coaching experience at the club level and volleyball camps.

Currently, Hilbun is pursuing her degree in education, early childhood to sixth grade.
