In her third season as the head coach, the Bobcats had a historic season on the court, finishing the year with a 16-5 overall record and a 7-3 record in SBC play. This marked their most wins (16) and SBC wins (7) in a single season in program history. She led the Bobcats to their best home record (9-1) since 2012 and led the team to its highest seed ever in the SBC tournament (3). Brooks had four players record 10 or more wins in singles this year, including Ireland Simme who finished the season at a perfect 14-0 record and coached five players to winning records in singles this season. In doubles play, she had three different pairs end the season with a winning record, including Kiana Graham and Callie Creath, who ended the season with an 11-5 record. To begin the season, she led the Bobcats to 9 consecutive wins, which tied the program record.
In her second season as the head coach, she led the team to their best overall record (11-8) since 2011. Under Brooks the Bobcats earned their highest rated SBC tournament seed (#8) since 2021. During the 2023-24 season the Bobcats earned six road victories, which is their most since 2011. In the same season, the Bobcats, under Brooks, put together a 9 match winning streak, which was their most consecutive wins since 2012. Academically the Bobcats earned their ninth consecutive ITA-All Academic Team Honor and had five individual players named ITA-Scholar Athletes.
In Brooks' first season at the helm of the Bobcat tennis program, she guided the team to a 8-15 record, the first eight-win season since 2017. Brooks brought the team to their third quarterfinals appearance at the 2023 Sun Belt Conference Championship, including shutting out their opponent in the first round. Led six players to seven or more singles wins, two of those with double-digit win seasons. Four of Brooks' players were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.
Brooks joined the Texas State women’s tennis staff during the 2020-21 season as a volunteer assistant coach before being promoted to assistant coach the following season. In her second year, she recruited all the newcomers on the team, including All-Sun Belt Doubles Second Team honoree Kate Malazonia and Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week Mae McCutcheon. She helped lead the team to quarterfinal appearances at the conference championship in both of her seasons on the staff.
In her seven years guiding St. Edward’s, Brooks made the Hilltoppers a perennial contender in the Heartland Conference and consistent performer in the NCAA Tournament. She led the team to a conference championship in 2019, after finishing runner-up four times, as well as a South Central Regional Championship. The team also achieved the program’s highest national ranking at No. 16 that same season.
In total, St. Edward’s made five NCAA appearances under Brooks, including the Round of 16 in 2019, which was the furthest the team advanced in 10 years. The team was also 93-53 (.636 pct.) in her tenure.
The 2018 Wilson ITA South Central Regional Coach of the Year produced 23 all-conference selections, Regional Rookie of the Year twice, 16 ITA Scholar-Athletes of the Year, an ITA Arthur Ashe Leadership National award winner, and four ITA All-Academic team awards.
Before St. Edward’s, Brooks was the Director of Junior Development at the Austin Tennis Academy for seven years.
Brooks began her career in coaching as an assistant at her alma mater, Texas Tech, from 2004-06. In those two years, the team was nationally ranked in the top-60 with a 24-21 overall record.
She was a four-year letterman at Texas Tech from 2000-2004 and served as team captain for the Red Raiders during her final two seasons.
