2008-2009

Defeated UTSA[apos]s top singles player Karen Scida 6-4, 4-6, 6-4... Helped take the Bobcats to the conference tournament in the spring of [apos]09... Had a 4-match win streak in doubles with partner Lainy Chafitz this spring at the #1 doubles spot. Biggest win was in doubles against Southeastern Louisiana[apos]s #1 team on the road posting a 9-7 score.

2007-08

Served as Texas State[apos]s number one singles player throughout the season...ranked among the Top 10 singles players in the Southland Conference after compiling a 7-13 dual match record, including a 3-7 mark in Southland Conference play...teamed with Lainy Chafitz as the top doubles team and they combined for a 3-8 record.

2006-07

Compiled a 9-8 overall dual match record as Texas State[apos]s number two singles player...also had a 2-3 record as the team[apos]s top doubles team with Lainy Chafitz...also finished 5-5 with Ashley Ellis as the number two doubles tandem.

Junior Tennis

Was named the 2004 Athlete of the Year at Colegio Jefferson...was the number three under 16 player in South America that year...played in the Federation Cup for Colombia in 2004 and twice played in the Junior Federation Cup for Colombia...was the No. 1 junior player in Colombia ... in 2004 was the No. 3 under-16 player in South America ... was a member of Colombia[apos]s Fed Cup in 2004 ... was a two-year member of Colombia[apos]s Junior Fed Cup squad.

A Business Management major at Texas State...born Jan. 19, 1988 in Cali...daughter of Raul Giraldo and Maria Claudia Betancourt...sister is Sarah Giraldo...hobbies include listening to music and watching movies...chose to attend Texas State after being recruited by North Florida and Texas Tech.
