Patrick Henry

Patrick Henry is in his fifth season with the Texas State women's basketball program and his second as associate head coach. The native of Warner Robins, GA was promoted in the summer of 2008 after spending three seasons as an assistant coach under Suzanne Fox.

Henry serves as the recruiting coordinator for the Bobcat women's basketball team and is rapidly establishing himself as an up-and-coming recruiter and one of the top in the Southland Conference. He also plays a key role in scouting and game day preparation.

In his first season as associate head coach, Henry helped guide the Texas State Bobcats to a 21-11 overall record, bolstered by a 14-2 SLC season garnering the team's first-ever Conference Title. The 2007-08 Bobcats continued to make history under Henry's leadership, reaching the second round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament. An 84-83 win over Prairie View A&M marked the first postseason win by either the men's or women's basketball team at Texas State as a Division I institution. Along with the team's accomplishments, Henry helped coach 2007-08 Southland Conference Player of the Year Joyce Ekworomadu.

Prior to Texas State, Henry spent three years as an assistant coach at Mercer University. While there, he helped the Bears to an Atlantic Sun Conference Title and a record turnaround remains atop the NCAA charts. Before Henry's arrival, Mercer turned out a dismal 6-23 season, but reversed its record to 23-6 his first season on the sideline.

Henry worked for one year as an administrative assistant for the Georgia Southern men's basketball staff. He has experience working at all three NCAA Division levels throughout his coaching career. Henry worked under four National Coaches of the Year and has been a part of four separate staffs that have won or shared a conference championship.

A two-year letterman at Ohio University, Henry earned his Bachelor's degree from the institution in 1998. He also received his Master's in Education from Mercer in 2005.
