Michael Trujillo

Michael Trujillo begins his seventh season as an assistant coach, and third at Texas State with the women's basketball program.

Trujillo has worked with the Bobcat front court for the past two seasons, but will switch roles and work with Texas State's point guards and perimeter players this season. Trujillo also serves as the chief scheduler for Texas State each year.

The Denver, Colorado native joined Texas State's staff prior to the 2007-08 season, and helped the Bobcats to a historic finish. Texas State won its first-ever Southland Conference Title and made its first postseason appearance since 2003. The Bobcats posted the program's first 20+ win season with a 21-11 overall record and garnered its first season postseason tournament win as Division I Institution with a victory over Prairie View A&M in the Women's National Invitational Tournament.

Prior to Texas State, Trujillo served as an assistant at Northern Arizona, where he helped guide the Lumberjack program to the Big Sky Conference Finals.

Before his one-year stint at NAU, Trujillo spent three seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Southland Conference rival, Sam Houston State.

Trujillo earned his bachelor's degree in physical education from NAU and served as the program's undergraduate assistant coach. He went on to earn his master's degree in secondary education from NAU, as well.

In addition, Trujillo worked in the capacities of assistant director, athletic director, teacher and coach at the Northland Preparatory Academy and Flagstaff Junior Academy.

Trujillo is married to Tammy Harden.
