Lyndsay Harris is in her second season assisting the Texas State women’s basketball team. Acting as a graduate manager for the team, Harris is head coach Zenarae Antoine’s first former player to assist her on the bench.
As a 2012 graduate of the University of Arkansas, Harris competed all four years for the Razorback women’s basketball team as well as spending four months as a professional basketball player for Hondarribia out of Hondarribia, Spain.
While at Arkansas, Harris overcame a season-ending knee injury at the SEC Tournament in her junior season by returning to the line-up as a senior year and leading Arkansas to the second-round of the NCAA Tournament. She also helped lead the team to its first-ever victory against SEC rival Tennessee as a senior when she scored a season-high 20 points. That season, the Razorbacks had 10 SEC victories in a row and finished in a tie for fifth overall in the SEC standings. It was the highest finish during Harris’ tenure.
Harris finished her Arkansas career ranked 14th in points (1,347), 14th in assists (265), tied for sixth in field goal attempts (1,244), second in three point field goals (283), first in three point attempts (858), and 10th in three point percentage (.330). She averaged a career 11.0 points per game and started in 106 games in a Razorback uniform.
Harris also adds a season of coaching experience under her belt she was the assistant coach for the AHSAA 6A State Champions Hoover High School girls’ basketball team in 2013. Also in the spring of 2013, Harris was the head coach for the Alabama Twisters 10U Girls AAU Basketball team.
A native of Hoover, Ala., Harris is completing her graduate degree in Exercise Sports and Science.
