High School: Letterwinner at Martin High School for coach Delia Pena...regional track qualifier and district high jump and triple jump champion all four years of high school... three-time state qualifier ...placed third at state championships in the high jump in 2005-06... personal-best in the high jump of 5-10, 38-7 in the triple jump and 18-1 in the long jump... also participated in cheerleading and basketball... senior class treasurer.
Personal: Born July 24, 1988 in Thornton, Colorado to Robert and Teresa O. Contreras... has one older sister Nancy...chose Texas State because of the great location and track and field team... majoring in athletic training.
