Lee McCormick

Lee McCormick, CSCS, PES, FMS, USAW, SAQis a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist is the Head of Strength and Conditioning for Men’s Basketball, Women’s & Men’s Golf, Women’s and Men’s Track and Field and Cross Country. He enters his 2nd year at Texas State University after joining the Bobcats late Fall 2023. He is recognized by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Performance Enhancement Specialist, and holds the distinction as a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach and NIKE 360 Golf Performance Coach.

His passion for strength and conditioning, and nutrition, began with Jeff Madden at the University of Texas who gave me a opportunity to chase my dream as a sport performance coach. Fueled by a desire to make all my athletes more athletic  with Olympic lifting, power lifting variation, with emphasis on unilaterally, bilaterally, Isolation and compound movements with speed development. He believes speed is king in all sports.
 
Prior to Texas State, McCormick was the Director of Strength and Conditioning McMurry , Huston Tillotson, Indiana State  and the San Antonio Spurs. He also spent time on the 40-acres as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for eight years. During his tenure years there he ran the strength and conditioning programs for Track & Field, Cross Country, Tennis, Swimming & Diving, Rowing, and the football team.
