2009: At the Texas A&M Invitational competed in the 3,000 meters registering a time of 8:51.13 ... at the Southland Conference Indoor Championships placed 10th in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:32.07 ... began the outdoor season at the Tiger Relays claiming fourth place in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:09.80 ... at the Dr.Pepper Invitational ran a season-best 8:55.66 in the 3000 meters ... at the UTSA Relays clocked a time of 2:04.26 in the 800 meters for ninth place and 4:09.89 in the 1500 meters for fourth place ... took fourth at the Trinity Alumni Classic in the 5000 meters with a time of 15:39.19 ... at the SLC Outdoor Championships placed seventh in the 10,000 meters with a time of 32:46.33.

2008: At the Texas Invitational completed the 800 meters in a time of 2:12.74 and had a time of 4:15.60 in the 1,500 meters.

High School: Was a four-year letterman at Plano West under the tutelage of Richard Grubbs and John Prather ... Member of the 2006 Cross Country 9-5A Championship Team ... Was third in the region and placed sixth at the state meet with a personal best mile of 4:31 and 5K at 16:10.

Personal: Born on November 18, 1988 in Frankford, Ind.  to Jack and Tammy Richards ... has an older brother, Jon.
