2020 INDOOR
Competed in three meets… helped Texas State finish sixth in the distance medley relay at the Sun Belt Conference Championships… finished in seventh place In the 3000atM the Red Raider Invitational… posted a season-best time of 10:38.74 at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational.
2019 OUTDOOR
Took first place in three of her five races, placed fifth otherwise… set personal records in the 10,000 and 3000S while competing in the Sun Belt Outdoor Track and Field Championships… won first in the 3000m steeplechase in Bobcat Classic as well as Texas A&M Invitational.
2019 INDOOR
Recorded personal bests in the 3000m (9:40.57) and 5000m (10:06.00), winning both in the Sun Belt Indoor Track and Field Championships… also set a personal best in the mile with a time of 4:59.68 while finishing second at the South Alabama Invitational… highlighted by three first-place performances, Romero only placed lower than fourth once in seven races in the 2019 Indoor season.
2018 CROSS COUNTRY
Chosen the 2018 Sun Belt Conference Runner of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, and an All-Sun Belt Conference First-Team selection… was the individual medalist at the Sun Belt Championships, becoming the first Bobcat women’s cross country conference champion since 1994… earned All-Region honors after finishing in 12th place at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships.
PRIOR TO TEXAS STATE
Transfer from South Plains College… earned First-Team All-American honors in cross country as a sophomore after finishing in fourth place at the NJCAA Women’s Championships… placed fifth in 3000m steeplechase at the NJCAA Outdoor Championships and fourth place in the 3000m at the NJCAA Indoor Championships as a sophomore… was named a NJCAA Cross Country Honorable Mention All-American as a freshman after a 14 -place finish in the NJCAA Championships… earned her first collegiate victory at the New Mexico Highlands Cross Country Jam as a sophomore.
HIGH SCHOOL
Received the High Point Award… was a two-time state qualifier… named the Most Improved Athlete at Memorial.
