Natalie Ramirez joined Texas State track and field as the director of operations and throws assistant coach in September of 2024. 

As an assistant coach overseeing the throwing events, Natalie Ramirez helped Texas State’s throws group establish itself as one of the nation’s best during the 2026 indoor and outdoor seasons.

During the indoor season, Ramirez helped guide Melanie Duron to Sun Belt Women’s Field Performer of the Year honors as the Bobcats captured the men’s and women’s Sun Belt Indoor Championships.

The throws group continued its success outdoors, capturing five individual titles at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships. Elisabet Runarsdottir and Manfred Mannamaa swept the women’s and men’s hammer throw titles, while Sophia Haberer won the women’s shot put, Hannah Kemele captured the women’s javelin title and Daniel Strooh won the men’s discus. Runarsdottir was also named the Sun Belt Women’s Field Performer of the Year.

Ten throwers advanced to the NCAA West First Round under Ramirez and Frazier, with Runarsdottir, Lara Roberts and Charlize Goody advancing to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Runarsdottir and Roberts capped the season with First Team All-America honors in the women’s hammer throw. Runarsdottir captured her second NCAA national championship with a personal-best throw of 73.19 meters, while Roberts placed sixth with a mark of 69.05 meters.
Before joining Texas State,Ramirez spent five seasons as an student athlete with the UCLA Bruins track and field team and competed in the shot put, hammer throw, discus throw and weight throw.

During her time as a Bruin, she qualified for the NCAA West Regional three times competing in the discus throw all three times and the shot put twice. She earned four top-10 finishes at the PAC-12 Championships throughout her career and ended her time at UCLA with PRs of 16.95m (shot put), 52.51m (hammer throw), 56.73m (discus throw), 15.44m(weight throw).
