Leo Seitz returns to Texas State as a strength and conditioning coach after spending the past three years serving in a similar role at the University of Arkansas.


Seitz helped with the Razorback football team that finished 10-4, won the SEC West title and appeared in the Capital One Bowl. He also worked with Arkansas's national powerhouse men's track and field team, who won NCAA Indoor National Championships in 2005 and 2006 and NCAA Outdoor National Championships in 2004 and 2005.


Prior to Arkansas, Seitz ran his own private strength and conditioning business in Helotes, Texas from 2001 to 2004.


Seitz played middle linebacker for the Bobcats from 1998-2000 before transferring to Texas Lutheran. He received a degree in kinesiology from TLU in 2003.


Seitz is certified by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and is also a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.


Seitz is married to the former Kristi Oberpriller, a Texas State All-Girl National Champion cheerleader from the school's 2000 squad (Texas State's first championship squad) and was also a pole vaulter for the Bobcats.
