2018 Outdoor: Competed at six meets... Four top 10 finishes... Took 10th with season best 4:01.68 in 1500m at Bobcat Classic... Came in eight in 3000m steeplechase with season best time of 9:48.59 at LSU Alumni Gold... Placed fourth in 3000m steeplechase at Bobcat Invitational... Finished seventh in 1500m at Roadrunner Invitational.
2018 Indoor: Competed at five meets... Four top 10 finishes... Part of fourth place Distance Medley Relay at the Sun Belt Conference Championships... Ran season best 4:19.10 in the mile at the conference meet... Took ninth in the mile at Jaguar Invitational... Was sixth in 800m in season best 1:59.21 and ws eight in the mile at New Mexico Team Invitational... Came in sixth in 800m at LSU Purple Tiger.
High School: Graduated from Midland High School... Coached by Jeff Streun... Earned First Team Academic All-State honors... Was the district champion in the 800m and 4x400m relay... Named Tevis Herd Runner of the Year... Two times was a USATF National Junior Olympic Qualifier... Claimed the USATF Texas Steeplechase and 3000m championships in 2016... Career best times are 1:57 in the 800m, 4:28 in the mile run and 6:19 in the 2K steeplechase... Part of teams that claimed three district championships and four-time regional qualifier... Also a member of the baseball team were he was named the team MVP... Participated in Model Organization of American States Chief of Delegation and Young Life... Was an AP Scholar, National Merit quarterfinalist and robotics state qualifier.
Personal: Son of Donnie and Karen Michael... Favorite hobbies include skiing, backpacking, mountain bkiking and reading.
