Morgan Rackel is a Calgary, Alberta, Canada native and a two-year standout at nationally ranked Weatherford (TX) College en route to earning National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-American second team honors and a North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC) regular-season championship. After being selected as the NTJCAC Pitcher of the Year as a sophomore, she took her pitching talents to Clarksville, Tenn., where she earned Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Pitcher of the Year as a junior and a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Central Region Third Team selection as a senior. She concluded her two-year career as a Governor with a 43-16 record in 384 innings of work, 446 strikeouts and a 1.68 earned run average (ERA). 
 
During her time at Weatherford and Austin Peay, Rackel appeared in over 150 career collegiate softball games as a pitcher, designated player and a right fielder. 
 
Following her time at Austin Peay, Rackel has played in the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) league, earned a silver medal in Lima, Peru at the Pan Am Games as a member of Team Canada's roster in 2019. The following year, she was named to the 20-member Team Canada roster and trained for the Olympics. In 2021, she was named as a traveling alternate for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and helped Team Canada prepare and win a bronze medal. Earlier this year, she participated as a member of Team Canada's World Games roster in Birmingham, Ala., where her team finished sixth. She was also named to the Canadian Pan Am qualifier roster.
