Megan Coronado enters her second season as a volunteer assistant coach on Ricci Woodard’s staff at Texas State in 2018.
As a volunteer assistant coach for the Bobcats, Coronado assists with every day office duties as well assists the coaching staff on the field.
In 2017, her first as a Bobcat, Coronado aided Texas State to a 42-17 overall record, a runner-up finish in both the Sun Belt regular season standings and the conference championship and an at-large berth to the NCAA College Station Regional. The Bobcats’ 42 wins marked the third-most in program history and most since the 2003 season, while the 18 league wins were the most since joining the Sun Belt Conference.
Coronado, a 2014 CoSIDA Academic All-America, played collegiately at DePaul University where she earned BIG EAST first team CoSIDA Academic All-America in 2014 and second team honors in 2011. Her senior season she helped the Blue Demons to a 44-11 overall record, BIG EAST regular season and tournament championships and an NCAA Regional appearance. Coronado, who was named to the 2012 NFCA All-Tournament Team, aided the DePaul program to NCAA Regional at-large appearances as both a freshman and sophomore.
Coronado received a bachelor of arts degree in public relations and advertising from DePaul University in 2014.
