Dani Elder, who appeared in 94 softball games throughout a four-year playing career at Texas A&M, added more games of experience to her resume in 2022, when she appeared in 30 games as a graduate student for Woodard and the Bobcat softball program. Her four home runs last season were tied for the third most on the team, while her .365 slugging percentage was the sixth-highest mark.Â

In her first plate appearance as a member of the Texas State softball program, Elder, a League City, Texas native, connected on a pitch across the plate for a solo home run in the Bobcats' win at New Mexico State on Feb. 11, 2022. The following day, she hit another home run to cap a two-hit, three-RBI game against the Aggies. In her return to College Station, where she made 77 starts and held a .243 career batting average with seven doubles, 10 home runs and 41 RBI, on March 9, 2002, she had a run-scoring double and a walk in two official plate appearances.Â

Additionally, Elder was a two-time SEC Honor Roll honoree during her time as a member of the Texas A&M softball program.Â
