Amber Daniel is in her fifth year with the Texas State softball program. She works with the infielders and trains the team in softball specific workouts. Daniel also handles scouting reports, team travel, team purchases and orders, and the Upper Deck Club.

 Of the five players that earned WAC accolates, two of them (Brooke Baker and Kelli Baker) were under the guidance of Daniel in the outfield. B. Baker led the team with a .351 batting average and K. Baker led the Bobcats in stolen bases with nine and finished the 2013 season with a .318 batting average.

  In 2012, Daniel also had a pair of outfielders earn league honors. Left fielder Brooke Baker was the lone outfielder to earn All-Conference honors for Texas State. However, Baker and right fielder Coralee Ramirez were both selected to the SLC All-Tournament team.

  In Daniel’s first season at Texas State, she had two outfielders earn All-SLC accolades. Centerfielder Allyce Rother earned honors, as well as utility player Chandler Hall who saw time between playing both in the circle and in left field.

 Prior to Texas State, Daniel spent five years at Eastern New Mexico. She served as the interim head coach in 2005. Daniel became the graduate assistant in 2006, and then was promoted to head coach in 2007. Daniel’s teams set numerous school, conference and national records in offensive and defensive categories. In her second season with ENMU, she coached her team to the second-most wins in school history.

  Playing third base and catcher, Daniel began her collegiate career at Temple College where she was named NFCA First Team All-American (NJCAA) in 2002. She also received All-Region V and All-Conference honors, along with being named the NJCAA Most Valuable Player. At Baylor, Daniel was named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll from 2002-04 and received Big 12 All-Academic First Team honors in 2004.

  Daniel holds an A.A. in arts from Temple College, a B.S. in education and an M.S. in physical education from Baylor.
