Biography
2009: Started the season out at the Leonard Hilton Invite where he won the 60 meter dash in a time of 6.85 to break the school record in his first meet after taking a year off...Jones tied his record again at the UH Invite placing fifth in the event...at the SLC Indoor Championships Jones placed third in the 60 meters with a time of 6.74, to break the school record for the second time during the season to take home the bronze medal...Jones also recorded a time of 22.79 in the 200 meters...began the outdoor season at the UTSA Relays running a time of 10.63 to qualify for the 100 meter finals, and ran 10.90 in the finals for a runner-up finish...competed at the Texas Twilight placing sixth in the 100 meters with a time of 10.69...clocked a time of 10.76 in the 100 and 22.35 in the 200 meters at the Sooner Invite...at the SLC Outdoor Championships placed ninth overall in the 100 meters with a time of 10.76...a member of the 4x100 meter relay team that qualified for NCAA Regionals.
2007: Had a time of 10.75 in the 100-meters at the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships...Clocked a time of 22.08 in the 200-meters....Ran the 100-meters in 10.73 at the Angelo State Invite...At the UT Invite finished the 200-meters in 21.63...A member of the 4x100 meter relay team that recorded a time of 41.29 for sixth place...Ran a 6.99 in the 60-meters qualifying for the semifinals at SLC Indoor Championships...Had a time of 22.89 in the 200-meters.
Centennial HS: Was a four-year letterwinner at Centennial for coach Chris Pawlak...Named the boys track and field MVP in 2005 and 2006...2003 District 9-4A champion in the sprint relay...2003-2006 Regional qualifier...2006 Nike Indoor and Outdoor National Championship Qualifier...2006 AAU Southwest Regional.
Personal: Born on November 28, 1987 in San Clemente, Calif. to Russell and Gail Jones...Has three brothers Russell, Bradley and Cameron...Also, participated in football at Centennial earning the 2004-2006 Special Teams MVP honor and 2006 Co-Offensive MVP honor...Enjoys exercising, spending time with friends and barbequing...Majoring in accounting.
