2012-13: Averaged 17.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game last season for Texas State. He finished the season with a total of 607 points – the fifth-most in a single season by any Bobcat player. Wright notched 29 double figure scoring games, including scoring 20 or more points 10 times and three 30-point performances. Wright was named to the All-Western Athletic Conference Second Team and All-Newcomer Team in 2013. He started 23 of 34 games, while recording six double-doubles. For his solid play at the WAC Tournament, Wright was one of five players named to the All-Tournament Team. He finished the tournament with 75 points and 27 rebounds over the course of three games. He had a tournament-high 32 points in the first round win over Seattle, in addition to shooting 61.1 percent from the field. Wright registered a new tournament made free throws record of 31.

Previous School: Competed at Blinn JC under coach Tra Arnold … averaged 15.3 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game … earned all-conference and all-region first team honors … helped lead Blinn to the Region XIV championship game, where he finished with a team-high 20 points and was selected to the all-tournament team … also competed at Duquesne University … during the 2010-11 season, appeared in 29 games … averaged 3.8 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.

High School: Competed at Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn, N.Y. for head coach Lawrence Pollard ... averaged 25 points and 20 rebounds per game in leading Jefferson to the Class AA PSAL semifinal as a junior ... averaged 23 points and 17 rebounds during the Orange Wave playoff run ... scored 54 points and had 30 rebounds in a 133-50 win over Grady in January of 2009 ... scored over 1,500 points and pulled down over 1,000 rebounds in three seasons at Thomas Jefferson ... played one year at Brittain Academy in Greensboro, N.C. ... scored 45 points against Quality Education in 2010 ... was rated as the eighth-best 2010 fifth-year player in the nation by Hoop Scoop.
