Texas State Athletics

Sophomore (2020-21): Played in nine games…averaged 1.7 points, 1.4 rebounds, and totaled six steals, four assists, and two blocks…logged season-highs of eight points and three steals in the season opener vs. Mary Hardin-Baylor (Nov. 25, 2020).

Freshman (2019-20): Played in 23 games and averaged 6.9 minutes, 2.3 points, and 1.3 rebounds per game…shot 52.9 percent from the floor, 40.0 percent from 3-point range, and a 71.4 percent from the free-throw line…scored over 10 points twice this year, including a season-high 13 points and five rebounds against Bethany College (Dec. 15, 2019)…in his first collegiate game against Texas Lutheran (Nov. 5, 2019), Tennial scored 11 points and had a season-high four steals.

Memorial High School – Played for Shane Cowherd… scored over 1,000 points in his high school career and was named the Most Valuable Player his senior year… his junior year, he was named to The Oklahoman's All-City Third Team, All-Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference First Team and selected the conference's Defensive Player of the Year after averaging 14.9 points on 46.6 percent shooting, 35.6 percent from beyond the arc and converted 75.1 percent at the charity stripe…also registered 7.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.0 steals per game…was named All-COAC honorable mention his sophomore season after averaging nine points, 4.3 rebounds 1.6 steals and 1.2 assists per game.
 
Personal – Majoring in engineering . . . son of Darwin and Pam Tennial . . . has an older brother, Josh and younger sister, Natalie…chose Texas State over Oklahoma Christian, a team that his father played for…favorite NBA team is the Lakers and favorite NBA player is LeBron James.
