Saw action in four games as a reserve linebacker and on special teams … notched a solo tackle versus Tarleton State … had a tackle at McNeese State.

Attended Navarro Junior College in the spring of 2010 playing under head coach Nick Bobeck  ... also attended the University of Houston in the summer of 2009 before transfering to Navarro.

Received First-Team All-District 23-5A honors for 13-1 5A State Finalist Hurricanes ... named to First-Team All-District 23-5A in his junior year ... named Defensive Newcomer of the Year in his sophomore season ... received First-Team All-Academic honors in his sophomore season under head coach Shane Hallmark.

Born Sept. 21, 1990 in Houston ... son of Maria Martinez ... majoring in exercise and sport science ... favorite hobbies include playing video games ... nickname is “Smallomalu” in reference to looking like a smaller Troy Polomalu.
