Texas State Athletics

Hughes joined Texas State as assistant strength coach for football in February 2023.

A graduate of Mississippi State, Hughes had two stints working with the Bulldog football program: 2020 and 2022. In between, he worked with Assistant AD - Strength & Conditioning for Football Bret Huth at UIW as a graduate assistant for the football program in 2021. He also earned his master’s degree from UIW in December 2022.
