    Senior Defensive Analyst
Craig Suits joined Texas State football in February 2023 as a senior defensive analyst.
 
One of four Tulsa grads on the Texas State staff (others: head coach GJ Kinne, safeties coach Dexter McCoil Sr., senior offensive analyst Landon Keopple), Suits joined the Bobcats after spending the previous five seasons on the Golden Hurricane coaching staff.
 
At Tulsa, Suits served as the linebackers coach in 2022 and tutored all-conference linebacker Justin Wright and team captain Jon-Michael Terry.
 
Before taking on the role of linebackers coach, Suits was the defensive quality control/graduate assistant at Tulsa from 2018-21.
 
Suits was a four-year starting linebacker at Tulsa from 2013-17. He was named a Freshman All-American by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) in 2014 and all-conference in 2016. He went on to play in 48 career games (47 starts) and finished with 279 career tackles, 31.5 TFLs, 5 interceptions and 5 forced fumbles.
 
As a player, Suits played in two bowl games: 2015 Camping World Independence Bowl and 2016 Miami Beach Bowl.
 
A native of Dallas, Texas, Suits played his prep football at Mesquite Poteet High School and was a four-year starter as a linebacker. He was a two-time all-district selection and named to the Dallas Morning News Top 100 as a senior.
 
Suit has two degrees from Tulsa: bachelor’s degree in sports science (May 2016) and master’s degree in education (May 2018).
 
He and his wife Cassidy have one son.
