Tyler Zielenske

Zielenske is in his first season as a special teams analyst for the Bobcats. He joined the program in February 2022.

The Atlanta, Ga. native arrived in San Marcos after spending the 2021 season with Pitt in a special teams graduate assistant role. 

Zielenske has other coaching stops at Memphis (2020) and South Alabama (2017-19). With the Tigers, he was in a special teams quality control role. Prior to that with the Jaguars, he started as a quality control assistant in 2017 before moving to a grad assistant role in 2018 and 2019.

A former kicker, Zielenske played collegiately at Mercer from 2012 to 2016. He played in 43 games and was on kickoff for three of his four years. He also kicked field goals his freshman and sophomore seasons.

He graduated from Mercer in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He also has a master's degree ('20) from South Alabama in educational leadership and administration.
