Brendan Ahern

Brendan Ahern joined Texas State in June 2022 and is the assistant athletic trainer for the football program.

Prior to joining Texas State, Ahern was a resident athletic trainer at Syracuse for one year (July 2021-June 2022), where he worked with the men's lacrosse, track and field, and cross country teams. His role included overseeing the prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries as well as the management of long-term stress injury rehabilitation. 

Ahern also worked at Eastern Michigan as a graduate assistant athletic trainer from July 2019 to April 2021. He worked with the football and volleyball programs as well as served as the primary athletic trainer for women's tennis.

A 2019 graduate of Toledo, Ahern was an athletic training student for three years while at Toledo and worked with women's basketball, baseball, football and cross country as well as several local high schools.

Ahern holds a bachelor's of science in athletic training from Toledo ('19) and master's of science in sports management from Eastern Michigan ('21).
