Started 11 games at defensive end…tallied 51 tackles with 22 solo stops…ranked 17th among Sun Belt leaders with 8.0 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks…had a season-high nine tackles at ULM…tallied seven tackles against New Mexico State and six stops versus Georgia State…recorded a season-best of 2.0 tackles for loss and six total stops against Louisiana…also had six tackles at Georgia State…forced and recovered a fumble against ULM…also recovered a fumble at South Alabama…earned a Texas State Academic Achievement Award.

2017
Started the first four games before going down with a season-ending injury ... had 19 tackles, including 10 solo tackles ... recorded 1.5 tackles for loss throughout the season ... led Texas State with a career-best nine tackles, 6 solo stops  and 1.0 tackles for loss against Houston Baptist ... tallied five tackles versus Appalachian State ... recovered a fumble against Houston Baptist.

Former walk-on who earned a scholarship in preseason practice ... started nine games and played in all 12 ... ranked fifth nationally with two blocked kicks ... Had 42 total tackles on the season, 29 solo and 13 assisted ... Had eight games with three or more tackles ... best game was at ULM, where he had six total tackles, five solo and one assisted ... tallied five tackles and tackled quarterback for loss on two-point attempt to clinch win at Ohio ... recorded a sack against Appalachian State ... Recorded six tackles for loss on the season for six total yards.

2015
Played in 12 games on special teams and at linebacker ... made one start ... had a career-best of 10 tackles and nine solo stops at Georgia Southern ... had five tackles and one solo stop at Louisiana ... also recorded two solo tackles and three total stops along with a quarterback hurry against Prairie view A&M ... tallied two tackles at Houston.
