Named to the Texas Sportswriter’s Class 6A All-State First-Team offense as a senior … was a two-time Honorable Mention All-State selection as a running back by coaches after rushing for 3,195 yards during his junior and senior seasons  … named the District 2-6A Offensive Player of the Year … played on both offense and defense as a senior … averaged 12.6 yards per carry and rushed for 13 touchdowns as a running back … recorded 55 tackles and 11 sacks as an outside linebacker … recovered a fumble for a TD and returned an interception for a TD … also returned a kickoff 100 yards for a TD as a senior… chosen All-District 4-4A First-Team running back after he tallied 1,653 yards while averaging 8.84 yards per carry as a junior.
