2010: Earned Third-Team All-American honors by the Associated Press ... named a Fourth-Team All-American by Phil Steele ... chosen All-Southland Conference First-Team for the second straight year ... Played in 11 games ... selected as a team captain by his teammates ... has started each of Texas State’s 35 games during the past three years ... helped pave the way for Texas State’s rushing attack that averaged over 144 yards per game ... chosen one of the nation’s  Top 10 FCS offensive linemen by The Sports Network ... named Preseason Honorable Mention All-American by Consensus Draft Service.

2009: Earned All-Southland Conference First-Team honors ... started 11 games at right guard ... was part of an offensive line that ranked 25th nationally and recorded the third fewest quarterback sacks allowed in the Southland Conference with an average of 1.36 sacks per game ... was part of an offense that averaged over 422 yards and nearly 32 points per game.

2008: Earned All-Southland Conference Second-Team honors in his first season as a starting right guard ... started 13 games for the Bobcats ... was part of an offensive line that ranked 19th nationally allowing just 1.15 sacks per game ... helped pave the way for one of the nation’s Top 25 rushing offenses with 184.1 yards per game and one of the Top 12 passing offenses with 453.23 yards per contest ... Bobcats were also one of the top seven scoring offenses in the nation with 36.4 points per game ... Texas State ranked eighth nationally in total offense with 453.23 yards per contest.

2007: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

High School: Named to the Associated Press Class 3A All-State Second Team ... also a First-Team All-District 21-3A selection after Palestine registered a 9-3 record and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Class 3A Division I football playoffs ... two-year letter winner at Palestine ... prep coach was Glen Tunstall.
