Texas State Athletics

Zack Lucas is in his sixth year overall and second season as the director of football operations at Texas State. Lucas was named the director of operations in March after serving the previous three seasons as the head equipment manager for the Bobcats.
 
He returned to Texas State in July 2015 after serving as the assistant equipment manager at Florida State for two years when the Seminoles won a 2013 National Championship and played in the first FBS Playoff Semifinal game in 2014.
 
Lucas returned to Florida State after serving as an assistant equipment manager at Texas State in 2012. His first stint with the Seminoles came during the 2011 season when he was a volunteer equipment manager while attending graduate school at Florida State.
 
Lucas went to Florida State after serving as a student manager at Oklahoma State from 2008-July 2011. He was a member of OSU’s staff at the 2008 Pacific Life Holiday Bowl, 2009 AT&T Cotton Bowl and the 2010 Valero Alamo Bowl.
 
Born April 6, 1988 in Austin, Lucas received a bachelor’s degree in physical education at Oklahoma State in 2010.  He and his wife, Meghan, have two daughters Lacey and Julia.
