Linda Gutierrez served the Texas State football program as the administrative assistant for over 25 years. During that tenure, she has worked with seven different Bobcat head coaches — John O’Hara, Dennis Franchione, Jim Bob Helduser, Bob DeBesse, Manny Matsakis, David Bailiff and Brad Wright. She joined Texas State’s staff after working for the San Marcos ISD and at Crockett Elementary.
She also was an active member of several community organizations while her children, Dawn and Russell, attended San Marcos CISD schools. She served as treasurer and president of the San Marcos High School Girls Booster Club; vice president and president of Crockett Elementary PTO; secretary and vice president of the San Marcos High School Baseball Booster Club and gave an unlimited number of volunteer hours for Greater San Marcos Little League. A native of San Marcos, Gutierrez graduated from San Marcos High School and attended Texas State.
