Joseph Kirchon is in his fourth year as a member of Texas State’s coaching staff and third year as an offensive graduate assistant coach. He will help coach Texas State’s wide receivers in 2019.
Kirchon came to Texas State in 2016 and helped with the Bobcat offensive skill positions after serving as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2015 at Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, Va. There, he coached four players who went on to sign NCAA Division I scholarships.
Kirchon also worked three years as a business consultant in the Washington, D. C. area.
He was a quarterback and three-year letterman at Kings College and enjoyed his best season as a senior. That year, he was named to the Middle Atlantic Conference Weekly Honor Roll after completing 25-of-39 passes for 320 yards and three touchdowns against Stevenson.
Kirchon also earned MAC Academic All-Star honors in 2009, 2010 and 2011 during his career. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance at Kings College in 2012.
