Jeff McDaniels

Jeff McDaniels is entering his second season as an offensive graduate assistant coach after working with the Bobcat tight ends and running backs in 2015.

McDaniels came to Texas State after serving as an offensive quality control coach at Old Dominion, where he also worked with both the quarterbacks and wide receivers in 2014.

He went to Old Dominion after playing four seasons as a wide receiver at Davidson College. A two-year letterman for the Wildcats, McDaniels ranked second among Davidson’s receiving leaders with 37 catches for 428 yards and three touchdowns as a senior.

Born May 29, 1992, McDaniels is a native of Miami, Florida. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Communications at Davidson in 2014. He has a Master’s Degree in Sports Management and Education from Old Dominion and is pursuing his second Master’s Degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Strategic Communications at Texas State.
