Jake Macauley

Jake Macauley is in his fourth year as the manager of football video operations at Texas State.

His duties include producing video content for the Texas State football web page and social media accounts, creating a variety of recruiting videos, highlights and promotional videos, overseeing the filming and editing of football practices and games, managing video storage and maintaining video and computer equipment.

Macauley joined Texas State’s football staff in August 2018 after he was one of four assistant video coordinators with the Los Angeles Rams. There, he assisted with video needs for such NFL events as the NFL Combine and The NFL Draft and providing video content for the NFL Network.

He joined the Rams after working two seasons as the assistant video coordinator at California in 2015-16 and serving as the communications and new media manager for the Southern Texas PGA from Jan. 2014-Aug. 2015. There, he managed and updated the Southern PGA website and social media pages, directed photo and video productions, developed promotional materials and press releases, and assisted with tournament operations.

As an undergraduate student at Colorado, Macauley was an assistant film and operations coordinator for the Buffaloes’ men’s basketball team from 2010-13 and the football team from 2011-13.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and news editorial at Colorado in 2013. He is married to the former Michelle Crose.
