Played in all 12 games…averaged 37.9 yards on 69 punts…placed 19 punts inside the 20…had nine punts over 50 yards and 18 of his punts were fair caught…had a season-long punt of 60 yards at Rutgers…also had a 58-yard boot at Georgia State and 55-yard kick at Troy…had a season-best 43.8 average on four punts against Appalachian State… also averaged 43.2 yards on six kicks at Troy and 43.0 yards on six punts against Louisiana…earned a Texas State Academic Achievement Award.

Was named the 2017 District 5-6A Special Teams Player of the Year … played for coach Brian Basil … was named a Kicking World All-American … rated as the No. 8 punter by Kohl’s kicking and the No. 9 punter in the nation by Chris Sailer Kicking … made six field goals, with a long of 48, 25 PATs, had touchbacks on nearly 50 percent of his kickoffs and averaged 40.54 yards per punt … chose to sign with Texas State after receiving a scholarship offer from UTEP and being recruited by Colorado, Texas Tech, Arizona and Notre Dame.
