Personal: Born August 30, 1991 in Dallas ... son of Kris and Tami Kirpes of Rowlett ...  his older brother, Lee Patterson, was a two-time All-Conference safety at Trinity and was a team captain in 2007 when the school won an ESPY and Time Magazine’s “Top Sports Moment” for college football’s “Mississippi Miracle” ... chose to attend Texas State after being recruited by Wisconsin, Iowa State, Washington State, Ohio, Vanderbilt and New Mexico ... hobbies include lifting weights and listening to music.
