Named Newcomer of the Year in 2007-08 … in 2008-09 she was second team All-District and Co-MVP of her team along with being the high scorer … was named Defensive Player of the Year her junior year and was senior captain her senior year … she was the AISD African American Heritage Award recipient her freshman and sophomore years … also a member of the varsity marching band all four years at McCallum High School.

Daughter of Karen and Mark Terry … her father played football at Texas State from 1985-89 as a linebacker … cousin was a quarterback at Texas State … another cousin Stephanie Butler ran track at LSU from 2006 … chose Texas State over UTEP, Sam Houston and Oregon State.
