Football Tuition - Detials v2


Details and Rules
  1. Student must be currently enrolled in Fall 2023 classes (full-time, part-time or pathway).
  2. Student must attend and scan their Texas State ID at the November 4 home football game.  Must be present to be selected. 
  3. Three random students will be selected in the first half of the football game.  The kick attempt will take place at halftime of the game. (Students will be contacted via email or mobile number if available during the game.)
  4. One student will need to successfully make a 15-yard field goal. One attempt only per student.
  5. If the three students kicking at halftime are not successful, all students in attendance can come onto the field to make an attempt at the conclusion of the game.
  6. All students attempting the kick at the end of the game should line up at the stairwell between sections 122 and 123.  A representative will meet you there to be escorted onto the field at the end of the game.
Note: Accommodations for students with disabilities can be arranged. All students will have equal opportunity to participate in the promotion and can be randomly selected from all students in attendance. If you require accommodations due to a disability, please contact the Texas State Athletics Department at 512-245-2114 or athletics@txstate.edu at least 24 business hours prior to the event.
 
ONE student will definitely WIN FREE TUITION for the Fall 2024 semester.  We will keep kicking until one student successfully makes a 15-yard field goal.
 
Please
  • Bring your student ID so you can get into the game
  • After the game, line up at the stairwell between sections 122 and 123
  • All students will line up to come on the field and attempt a 15-yard field goal
  • If you are not successful with your kick, you can move to the back of the line for your next opportunity
  • We will keep kicking until one student is successful
Tuition Award
  1. The free semester scholarship is for Fall 2024.
  2. The award is a “last dollar” scholarship for up to 15 hours of resident tuition (non-residents are eligible but only get up to resident tuition).
    • That is $4,611 max
    • For example: If a student has zero scholarships, the award is $4,611. If they have $2,000 in scholarships, the prize is $2,611.
    • The award doesn’t cover fees
  3. The award is made in third week of the Fall 2024 semester.
  4. If winning student registers for less than 15 hours, the amount of the award will be prorated.
  5. If the winning student does not enroll in Fall 2024 semester, the award will be forfeited.
